They say diamonds are a girl best friend. Shiny, glistening jewels glam up any outfit and brighten up any day. Zoë Kravitz shows us the power of the jewels with her new collaboration with Swarovski Crystallized. The collaboration, which features many glistening jewels, was celebrated this past Thursday night at a special dinner hosted by Swarovski Crystallized, in which Kravitz, dressed in a black Alexander Wang dress, was guest of honor.

The collection itself is interesting because it is full of turquoise, something I found to be unusual for a Swarovski collection. However, the actress, model, and now young designer explains her love for the stone and her inspirations that led her to use it, “I was really inspired by Native American jewelry because I just think it’s so beautiful and timeless, I didn’t want it to be gaudy. I wanted it to be something that was young and fresh and simple — something you can incorporate into your own clothes.”

I find Kravitz having done just that with this jewelry collection. The collection also includes pieces with tanzanite. Both Tanzanite and turquoise jewelry are fun to wear; the bright, exciting colors when paired with something simple such as a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans, makes a bold statement. However, when worn the wrong way, it can definitely come off as too crowded, which is why I am loving Zoë Kravitz’s collaboration! The styles are unique, fun and something I can definitely see a lot of people wearing.

The collection will have nine pieces that include bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings. Although many designers claim their creations are geared towards young people, the prices always end up being way out of my, and most others, price range. One of my favorite things about this collaboration is that the prices range from $90 to $194 making it affordable to everyone.

What is your favorite piece from the Zoë Kravitz X Swarovski Crystal Collection?
