Justice has been served. William Balfour, the man convicted of murdering Grammy winning singer and Academy Award winning actress, Jennifer Hudson’s brother, nephew and mother has been sentenced to life in prison.
On Tuesday, Balfour was sentenced while the judge described him as having “the heart of an arctic night,” and his soul “as barren as dark space.” Balfour has been sentenced to three life terms with no opportunity for parole, along with 120 years for aggravated kidnapping and home invasion.
Balfour has been imprisoned for breaking into the Hudson home, and shooting Darnell Donerson (57), Jason Hudson (29), and Julian King (7).
Hudson spoke as a witness in Balfour’s trial saying she had known Balfour since grade school and has never liked him.
Balfour’s motive for killing members of the Hudson family was due to his jealousy towards his separated wife, Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia Hudson. He reportedly threatened to kill her family, according to a witness.
Balfour is still proclaiming his innocence.jennifer hudson, William Balfour
