So, with April sneaking up on us, we know it means three things: April showers, the end of March Madness, and well… Titanic in 3D. Today, the 1997 record-breaking movie hits the big screen again, and to be honest with you, I can not wait.

Kate Winslet may not be very pleased with the way she looks in the movie– making note that she’s thinner now, while Leo is well… “fatter.” Even seeing herself on the big screen again, Winslet wasn’t too excited.  ”I was literally like, ‘Oh my God, make it stop,” she told iTV. “Is that me? Oh my God, that’s me. Block my ears, somebody! ‘Somebody club out my senses. Make it f—king stop!’”

She also made note that Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On doesn’t leave a warm and fuzzy feeling in her stomach either. “Like throwing up,” she told MTV of how she feels when listening to the song. “No, I shouldn’t say that … No, actually, I do feel like throwing up. I wish I could say, ‘Oh listen, everybody! It’s the Celine Dion song!’ But I don’t. I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll.”

However, regardless of how Rose (Dewitt Bukater) Dawson feels about the film, we can’t wait. Here’s three reasons why you should be hitting up the movies this week to see Titanic on the big screen.

1. If you haven’t. I’ve seen Titanic probably a few dozen times. I own the two-disc VHS set. However, I was 7-years-old when it hit the big screens, so I never saw it at the movies. Although I know the storyline inside and out, and can probably quote it through and through, I never experienced seeing it on the big screen. As one of the best movies of all time, it’s a must-see on the big screen. Plus, it’s James Cameron which means that it’s always better at the movies (you saw Avatar right?).

2. It’s 3D. Now, I’m not one of the people crazed about the 3D movies. I feel like it’s old and spent. However, I think the 3D effects added onto Titanic will not only increase the amazing features of the gorgeous ship, but it will also add a little bit of a scary feeling to the movie. Seeing a ship go down in the middle of the ocean in 3D, with spinning propellers flying at your face? That sounds kind of scary! Plus, it actually happened, which makes the effect even more intense.

3. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Need I say more? The chemistry between the two of them in Titanic is unlike any other onscreen (and in Hollywood, most offscreen) couples. You all know of the famous ‘Jack sketches Rose’ scene, as well as the ‘hand on the window’ scene. These two are magnetic and again, another reason seeing it on the big screen will just make our hearts melt. Even the men will enjoy this love story, I promise.
