Fashion at the red carpet was a little obsolete, but luckily there was more excitement at the after party! This was the time for all the winners to celebrate and the losers to drown in their sorrows, but one thing everyone did was come fashionably dressed (or not?).

The winner of the evening, Jennifer Lawrence had startled earlier in the day in her chic Dior, but we hadn’t seen what was coming for the night. She changed into a sexy Calvin Klein getup which just left our jaws dropped. The metallic grey/silver color combined with the low neckline was perfect for JLaw’s body, and the studded stacked cuffs and the earrings glamorized the look even more.

The supporting actress winner, Anne Hathaway, compensated for her nipple baring dress on the red carpet that made such a Twitter frenzy, in a custom made Yves Saint Laurent gown with a beautiful metallic triangular neckline. The Master star Amy Adams who failed to bag the golden statue, celebrated the Vanity fair after party in a fabulous silver Oscar de La Renta  fringed gown. Amy’s dress earlier at the red carpet had mixed reviews, and in my mind it was a bit too typical and not very striking for the awards. But she upped the ante at the after party in the stunning silver gown.

Another fashionable lady of the soiree was Naomi Watts! While I loved what she wore earlier in the day, the nominee for Best Actress award looked ready to party in her black and gold beaded one shoulder Emilio Pucci dress. Naomi Watts’ look for both the events was fantastic and my favourite of all.

The Golden girls, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens smoldered in beautiful pale cream Versace gown and bronze mesh gown from Moschino respectively. I also loved Britney Spears new look, as she made an appearance in a beautiful sequined and new brunette hairstyle. Meanwhile, actresses were not the only ones to come out, Victoria secret model Miranda Kerr also stole the spotlight in her flowing Valentino Couture dress as she posed with hubby- Orlando Bloom.

On the other hand, fellow angel Alessandra Ambrosio completely went wrong in an extremely overdone gold sheer Zuhair Murad gown. It did nothing to flatter her amazing figure! Zoeey Daschanel might have rocked her new hairstyle, but I thought the Valentino floral embroidered gown was just too dingy for the evening.

Other few stars who failed on the fashion test were Heidi Klum and Liberty Ross who publicised too much of their breasts, Kourtney Kardashian  in an ill fitted black and red high necked dress that did nothing for her tiny frame, and Rosie Huntington, who covered her gorgeous body in a frumpy frock.

Overall, the fashion at the after parties was way more interesting and varied than what we saw at the red carpet. There were definitely more hits than misses this time! Who did you think looked their best at the after party?
