It’s almost that time — time for summer weddings that is! Let the invitations start rolling in. Time to start shopping for dresses, mani/pedis with the bridesmaids and reception parties — not to mention a lot of champagne! Whether you have a wedding coming up in two months or two years give or take, there was a dress for every bride or bride-to-be as stunning gowns from Vera Wang to Marchesa took their turn on the runway.

Caution some of these dresses might make you want to settle down a little sooner than you planned! The runways were full of blinding whites and classic glamour. There were trend inspired gowns like the peplum dress by Rafael Cennamo. The layers of tool and the peplum-accent really highlight the petiteness of the model’s waist. I like how she wore her hair in a simple, but elegant up-do — a must for a dress with this much shape and detail.

And what bride does not want to be the center of attention? This stunning gown by Ines DeSanto certainly stole the show with the detailed illusion back. This dress is to die for! It was in good company with dresses from Anne Barge and Monique Lhuillier that also displayed ornately detailed dresses some with front lace and some with back lace for this year’s bride. I would pair this dress with an up-do, like the model, or down parted to one side with big, loose curls.

Marchesa even incorporated the high-low trend into their spring 2014 line. This strapless knee-length number had beautiful floor-length lace that was also spotted in other dresses in the line. Marchesa never seems to disappoint with the timeless elegance of their dresses. According to sources, Miley Cyrus said she was going to wear a Marchesa dress — the ring is back on! — for her wedding with on-again fiance Liam Hemsworth. Could this dress be a contender for Miley’s dress? Personally, I don’t think it’s edgy enough for a girl who a chopped most of her hair off.

Maybe if I start saving now I will have enough for this dress by 2016! What do you think of the spring wedding runway? Planning a wedding soon? Let us know who you’ll be wearing! Tweet @emcBlue
