Mark Wahlberg

In a recent interview with Men’s Journal, actor Mark Wahlberg angered people when he talked about the 9/11 hijackings. The actor was scheduled to be on one of the flight’s that crashed into the tower.

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did,” Wahlberg told the magazine.

Wahlberg is the star of last weekend’s number one movie, Contraband.  He is known for doing his own stunts and taking on physically grueling roles.  However, many feel that bringing that attitude outside movies is a little much.

Wahlberg has since apologized for his comments and didn’t mean to offend anyone.  I’m not really sure how he could make such a bold statement, but I don’t think he meant it literally.  My guess is that he was trying to keep up his tough guy reputation.  This should blow over, but people should realize that 9/11 is a touchy subject.
