Kim Kardashian

With the much-hyped wedding plans of Kim Kardashian underway, it doesn’t really come as a big surprise that Vera Wang will be designing the celebrity’s dress. Kim Kardashian, who has always been a big style icon (sometimes with clothes and sometime sans), got engaged to her boyfriend, New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries, and the wedding plans have been flowing ever since. She also appeared on Tonight’s show with Jay Leno after the engagement with the big rock (with Jay Leno testing with fire to see whether the diamond was fake or real) where she disclosed some of her plans for the future, but since then, news has been slow.

Kardashian and Humphries

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian mentioned Vera Wang on her blog and subsequently all the dates, guests and ring details were also leaked on the web.  Kardashian wrote of Wang:

“Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!”

We are hoping that the wedding (and the dress) is impeccable because seriously, don’t we need an Americanized Kate Middleton?
