Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope

Carrie Bradshaw was probably the biggest television fashion icon of the last millennium. Her high fashion and sometimes crazy wardrobe is still coveted by numerous women today. Since this beloved fashionista has disappeared from the small screen, there have been only a handful of characters stylish enough to take her place.

The characters of Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty were destined to fill the void, but these women exist only in the socialite and fashion worlds. What about the everyday women who inhabit the corporate world? Now, there is a new class of fashion darlings lighting up our screens every week with their heart-wrenching story lines and unmatched style. See which TV divas have learned to perfectly balance feminine style in the most difficult jobs.

Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope

ABC’s latest show, and my newest obsession, Scandal has become an instant hit. It’s not just the juicy, namesake storylines that keep viewers coming back, but Olivia Pope’s simple-yet-stunning style. The crisis manager’s secret to looking flawless while constantly in secret predicaments is all about the fit. Miss Pope’s tailored and structured suits perfectly compliment her petite frame that is accentuated with minimal accessories. Not only does Olivia wear the “white hat” but she completely rocks the white suit and the white blouse.

Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick

Of course I have to mention the utterly fabulous Alicia Florrick. From courtroom drama to her headlining home life, the Good Wife has been playing a balancing act while being impeccably dressed since the CBS show’s premiere in 2009. Whether this lawyer is in or out of the office, her outfits always impress with subtle details and daring color choices.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer

Honorable mention goes to Second-in-Command Selina Meyer of HBO’s new venture Veep. The Vice President’s threads are also making viewers stop and notice. Selina is a rulebreaker and a risk taker when it comes to her fashion choices. Her figure showing outfits are worn with the confidence of a woman who is only “one heartbeat away from the presidency.”
