As award season comes to a close, we can’t help but stay in awe over all those amazing hair styles and dresses. The close of award season 2013, does not mean we have to put all of that behind us. We can still keep those magazine clippings of celebrity makeup looks we want to try and keep other red-carpet inspired beauty looks on our computer desktops. Thanks to a new company, Blushington, regular people like you and me can achieve our desired red carpet look.

Blushington is a newly established company that brings celebrity beauty to regular people. All you have to do is bring in a photo of a celebrity look you want to replicate, or simply describe the look you want, and bam! The Blushington artists are able to create it.

In order to transform your favorite red carpet beauty look into real life effectively, here are a few rules you must follow.

Simplicity is key. Although celebrities on the red carpet are painted head to toe in concealer, it is not needed when copying your award season look. Tone down the foundation and keep your beauty regime to a tinted moisturizer, some concealer, and a pressed power.  This tip is crucial because too much foundation can give you an uneven, unnatural look. You want to not only look like you’re in your own skin, but also want to embrace it. By covering your skin with loads of foundation you are hiding your true beauty.

Keep your eye on one celebrity that kind of resembles you. When choosing a celebrity look to recreate, know that the colors used on some celebrities may not work well with you. Try to emulate red carpet looks of those who have similar features as you. Focus on which celeb shares your same complexion, eye color, hair color, and face structure. Those are all important elements when transforming a specific beauty look into your real life.

This is probably the most exciting and important beauty advice I’ve ever heard; don’t splurge. Yes, even the most glamorous beauty looks of the red carpet can be budget friendly! Instead of clearing out the entire MAC counter, work with what you’ve got. With a few critical products, you can create dozens of different looks, from subtle to extremely drastic.

Whether you are transforming your dream beauty look with Blushington or on your own, remember to embrace your individual beauty. Looking to celebrities for makeup looks and ideas is a fun way to spice up your own look and show off your beauty in various ways!
