The Great Gatsby has got to be one of the most anticipated films of the decade, even more now that its premiere has been pushed back from December 2012 to late Spring 2013. And with every artist revealed to be involved with the film, the soundtrack itself is setting the bar high.

The xx’s “Together” is the latest reveal from the soundtrack. The song stays true to its style, it’s everything you’d expect from The xx, yet its also everything you’d come to expect for The Great Gatsby. Personally, I think it captures the luxurious temptations of Gatsby’s world.  Hear it below.

Melodramatic, grandiose, and it sounds like a song Gatsby and Daisy could have sex to. (Spoiler alert!) But really, it’s sultrily romantic, and it sounds very fitting for an melodramatic scene, no?

The film premieres May 10, and until then, we can only imagine which tracks fit each scene. This film holds many expectations we all hope it’d fulfill, but by the off-chance that it doesn’t, at least the filmmakers can do Scott F. Fitzgerald’s justice by it’s epic soundtrack.

Do you think The Great Gatsby will meet your expectations or disappoint?
