Maria Menounos

Yes, we may love looking through magazines and spotting the Prada and Fendi ads… then dreaming of one day actually being able to afford it. But who says that you must have brand names to look cute and polished? Maria Menounos has one amazing money-saving trick that could change fashionistas’ lives!

According to The Cut blog, Maria Menounos buys some gorgeous affordable frocks and takes them to her tailor, where she pays around $4, half of what a New Yorker pays for a “cheap” breakfast sandwich and drink. Can you say genius?! I know what you’re thinking -but they’re not that great of quality. Let Menounos explain:

“The difference between high-end and low-end is literally fabric and fit, and fabric has come such a long way that you can get great fabric. So now we get to fit. So what I’ll do is, I’ll go to Target and I’ll get a cute shirt, and it doesn’t really fit right. So I’ll take it to a tailor and for $4 or $5 they tailor it to my body and now it looks amazing, and people never know the difference.”
