The stars this year had to adhere to a dress code policy on the Grammys red carpet that called for more coverage, and I think it encouraged the classiest display of dresses the Grammys has seen in recent years. I found myself cringing way less than usual at the fashion display. There’s hope yet!

I think Rihanna had one of her best dressed moments Sunday night. She definitely toned it down from previous times on this red carpet. She looked completely gorgeous during her performance and on the red carpet, where she stood out in a red Alaia gown. Her dress was perfectly fit and matched with loose curls and a rouge matte lip.

I also think that Grammy winner Carrie Underwood had one of the best strapless dresses of the night. She sparkled in a classic gown by Roberto Cavalli — the necklace added the perfect touch of elegance. She pulled off the black dress better than a lot could and it was perfect for the event! She shined when she made her way to the stage to accept her award.

Kelly Rowland turned a lot of heads with her Georges Charka dress. The gown was amazing. It showed off her great body and still wasn’t too much. I think she went with the right hairstyle to truly give the dress all of then attention it demands. It has to be my top black dress of the night.

Natasha Bedingfield‘s dress was one of my favorites Sunday night. She looked stunning in the red Emerson gown. I love the texture and the shape — just everything about this dress is lovely. She also worked the red-lip trend that was all over the carpet.

I want to mention Christine Teigen, John Legend’s date, because I really like how she pulled the crop-top trend and her clutch is so adorable and it brings the perfect amount of color — couldn’t have picked a better accessory — to the carpet in a sophisticated way. The dress is simple and still makes a statement!

What do you think of the 55th Grammys red carpet? Who was your dressed dressed?
