Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew Morrison

Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew Morrison are taking their singing chemistry off the screen. The “Glee” duo will share a duet on Morrison’s upcoming album.

Paltrow tuned up her pipes to join Hairspray’s original Link Larkin in his remake of “Over the Rainbow,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

Asking the “Country Strong” star to appear on the album wasn’t easy, according to Morrison.

“The hardest part of doing this album was asking these people favors, like Elton [John] and her,” he said.

But, he really wanted to add a female voice to the song, which he performed on the Season One finale of “Glee.”

“I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it,” he told EW. “It’s a lot of strings, and it’s beautiful.”

Mr. Schuester’s real-life alter-ego will release his self-titled CD May 10, but you can catch him and Paltrow’s character on a new episode of “Glee” April 19.
