The Grammy nominations for 2013 were released on Wednesday night, but the nominations have left many people scratching their heads and saying, “Really? Where’s Nicki Minaj?” Nicki’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded  was one of the most popular albums in 2012, so it’s very difficult for people to understand why there wasn’t a nomination for the Barbz. Nicki Minaj delivered a great album this year with a blend of Hip-Hop and Pop songs that catered to her diversified audience. Being that this was Nicki’s second studio album, it was amazing to see her album go Platinum and might I add that three of her singles remained in the top 50 Billboard Charts out of the top 100 and it reached the top of the charts in countries like Canada, Scotland, and United Kingdom. With hits like “Starships”, “Right by My Side”, “Beez in the Trap”, “Pound the Alarm”, and “Va Va Voom”, it is inevitable that the Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) member should have at least received the “Best Dance Recording” or “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration” category.

Now, I am not saying that the artists that were nominated did not deserve it. Artists like Frank Ocean, Fun. , and Miguel definitely deserve their spot on the Grammy nominations for their great albums this year, but I just feel that Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded had some potential! But hey, at the end of the day I’m sure Nicki will be alright. She still has the re-released of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, a new fragrance, her YMCMB family, and oh yeah…a net worth of $14 million. I think the Barbz is still “legit” and is going to be just fine…

What do you guys think? Do you think Nicki should have been nominated in one of the categories? Tell us what you think!
