Tech N9ne and Lil Wayne

Tech N9ne’s new album, All 6′s and 7′s, was released last week. Although he is known as a successful underground, independent musician, his album consists of several mainstream voices and rhythms from Twista, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Chino Moreno and Stephen Carpenter of Deftones, B.o.B., E-40, and more.

Some die-hard fans were skeptical of the collaboration between an underground artist (Tech N9ne) and a mainstream one.

“Different artists are supposed to hook up and make something beautiful, that’s what makes music wonderful, I think,” Tech told MTV, after hearing about the disapproval of his fans. “I already knew what I was gonna do. When I get with these [well-known collaborators], the beats gotta say their names.”

According to Times-Standard, the rapper said that he might feature more artists in the near future including Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and System of a Down.

Any thoughts on his new album?
