Last week, our favorite 23year old Taylor Swift rocked her gorgeous hair in a 30-second music video teaser, along with country legends, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. This week, the full music video was released, jerking tears here and there.

“Highway Don’t Care” is McGraw’s latest single, featuring Swift and Urban. The country-esque trifecta joined musical forces to bring awareness to the cautionary tale about the dangers of texting and driving.

The song speaks as a ballad, about ill-fated lovers, more specifically, the man is separated from his love, both driving. Just as Perez Hilton has described, it is “a hauntingly brilliant song accompanied by an absolutely SOUL-CRUSHING vid”!!! Check out the music video below. (Spoiler alert, you may feel emotional.)

Maybe it’s the country feel, maybe it’s Taylor’s sweet vocals, or maybe it’s the video and/or lyrics, either way, there is no doubt the whole spiel left a lasting impact. There is nothing more heartbreaking than witnessing an ill-fated couple, and it definitely hits home base when the loved one is lost by something we all can relate to.

Kudos to these artists for collaborating on this very important message that we often overlook and underestimate until it’s too late:

Don’t text and drive.

Because the highway really doesn’t care. What did you think about the collaboration?
