Talib Kweli

Rapper, Talib Kweli performed at Sunday’s SummerStage concert at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn, New York. SummerStage is an annual summer series of concerts held at 15 parks throughout New York City. In addition to a performance by Kweli, South African rapper, Jean Grae, also entertained the audience at the concert

A Brooklyn native, Kweli began his career as an underground artist and eventually grew to fame with songs such as “Just to get by.” His collaborations with various artists including Mos Def, Kanye West, and Common have made Kweli a household name in the Hip Hop community.

In addition to a performance by Kweli, South African rapper, Jean Grae, also entertained the audience at the concert. I especially enjoyed the concert and I thought the performances were amazing! I was happy to see Kweli giving back to his hometown through his music. SummerStage offers an artistic experience that can appeal to those of any age group. The concerts are all cost free and a great way to spend an evening.
