The new ads for Talbots just hit the internet and I must admit I had to do a double take. The retail store, known for targeting the middle-aged office going business woman, has revamped it’s image. Julianne Moore stars in the ads and the clothing appears fresh and youthful. The company seems to be making major changes and choosing Julianne Moore as the new face for the company is a step in the right direction.

While the clothing is still office appropriate it’s no longer drab and aging. There are bolder colors, fitted jackets, and sweaters you wouldn’t mind stealing from your mom’s closet. The store’s website even lets you take a look at it’s new catalog and spring lookbook, which features beautiful prints, great denim pieces, fitted trousers, and lovely blouses. Even the accessories have be revamped, now including platform heels and youthful flats.

Even with all the changes the brand has still managed to stay true to its image. It’s still the go to place for office attire and interview outfits, but now it has a modern feel that appeals to a broader audience.
