First in the 90′s there were harem pants, then we had jeggings, and at last the sweat-pant. Is it because Americans believe in comfort as ready to wear? Or is the couch potato making a comeback?

I get it, everyone has a bad day once in a while when you need to be in your most comfortable attire. A few months ago Kim Kardashian was spotted working this trend in a pair by Celine in leather.  Now fashionable sweats are being sold at online retailers such as H&M and shopstyle.com.

Although, it made me wonder what makes this look go from very trashy to almost classy.

In order to make this trend work, definitely pair it with a cute blazer or a jacket at hip length. Underneath a basic tee in a solid color is great and double thumbs up when accessorized with a statement necklace.

As for bags, I would choose a very minimalistic purse, nothing too bulky and nothing too long as you want the pants to be the statement of your outfit.

For men, I would choose a dark shade of the pants, as dark colors look cleaner, and a long button up or flannel as a shirt. For outer wear I would pair a bomber, and if you want to be really daring try pairing it with a leather jacket.

Are YOU rocking this trend this season?
