With Spring Break in full swing, students are flocking to the beach in hopes to soak up some sun and look good while doing it. While attire during the day is self explanatory, it’s the evening wear that we’re most interested in. After all, nothing screams Spring Break more than after hour beach parties, am I right? Check out these quick tips that are sure to glam up any beach dress.

When it comes to earrings, it’s all about the large dangling eye catchers or shoulder length pieces. You could pair up a light colored monochromatic outfit with bright multi tasseled earrings from D&G. Although large and bright, they are very intricate in nature and can work well with a plain summer dress. On the other hand, printed and color blocked spring outfits would team up extremely well with single colored Etro earrings. So whether you go for intricate detailed ones or simple metallic ones, the key is to go BIG!

Statement chokers  have been a trend that have made the runway over the past few seasons. This spring, necklaces have taken a new turn. They are no more just big and bold, but this season it is exquisite and elaborate with embellishment and baubles.  Christian Dior brought in a feminine and luxurious feel to the chokers which were studded with jewels alongside clean shiny metal.

Chanel has an elaborate necklace with large pearls and baubles that is a stunning piece to wear for your resort party alongside clean cut outfits.  Spring wear calls for floral motifs and prints in bright tones, and block colored outfits can be perfectly contrasted with Perspex floral necklaces like those seen at Gucci.

Although shine and bling is the motto for this season, you can always go for minimalistic styles that aren’t shiny and bejeweled.   Some of the exciting minimal pieces spotted on the runway were Mcqueen’s bee studded chokers and sleek metallic chokers from Givenchy.  Yet, minimalistic chokers should only be balanced with simple sharp cut dresses; otherwise there would be a thin line between fashionable accessory and a dog’s collared leash.

And in case you don’t want to fuss over fragile jewelry, you could opt for colossal cuffs. A cuff is a rather small accessory, but can make a powerful and bold statement just like a necklace or earring.  Chanel’s large jeweled cuff is exquisite and rich in appearance while creating a very bold and powerful statement. Etro has a very colorful and rocky texture cuff and Celine has a knotted leather cuff that is perfect for minimalists.

Whether you go for large pieces or small, make sure you keep them classy and matched with your outfit.

Will you be flaunting oversized jewelry for your Spring travels? Which key pieces will you wear?
