After 10 botched surgeries in one day, a “divorce” followed by a sudden change of heart, and of course, the infamous Lauren Conrad sex tape rumors, it seems that the fame-hungry media clowns, known better as Heidi and Spencer Pratt are doing just about anything and everything to stay in the spotlight these days. Since the spoon that fed them, The Hills, ended last July, the reality couple is doing just about anything to create headlines and stay in the press, instead of facing the fact that their 15 minutes of fame ended in 2010.
Yet, it wouldn’t be a normal week in Holly-weird if the infamous (or annoying) duo wasn’t somehow stirring the pot and creating drama the best way they know how: with a “war of the words.”
Last week, as the rumor mill was in full force with chatter regarding the possible new “wives” being added to Bravo’s uber successful Real Housewives of Beverly Hills series, Heidi’s spotlight stealing husband, Spencer, made comments to Radar Online that Speidi could be mingling with likes of Kyle Richards and my favorite housewife, Lisa Van der Pump Todd, in the near future.
“We would move to Beverly Hills in a heartbeat. We would be psyched if this happened for us,” said Pratt in a statement to the website. He further confirmed that “his people” were going to be meeting with the Bravo execs this Tuesday. However, what Mr. Pratt failed to realize was that he lives in a world of fantasy while the network’s Exec VP of programming and development, Andy Cohen, lives in a little place known as reality.
In the wake of Pratt’s “Housewives” comments, Cohen took to his Twitter account to deny (thankfully), that the Pratts won’t be relocating to 90210, at least not for the show’s purposes, anytime soon. Cohen even said that he’d rather “stab…knives into my own eyes” then have the former MTV starlet join the highly rated series.
Of course, true to form, Mrs. Pratt had to get the last word in, even taking swipes at Bravo’s most popular host.
“Andy’s tasteless remarks were hurtful and completely unnecessary,” said Montag in a statement to People magazine. “I’m well aware I’m not the right demo for the show, but Andy Cohen took it to a malicious place.”
Though Cohen has yet to strike back to Heidi’s latest jabs, we’ll be waiting in the wings to hear Cohen’s defense…or to see if Spencer bashes the Bravo star as he done with so many other “enemies” in the past.Tags: Andy Cohen, Heidi Montag, jennifer aniston, just go with it, Kyle Richards, Lauren Conrad, Lisa Van der Pump Todd, real housewives of beverly hills, Spencer Pratt, The Hills
