Sophia Vergara on InStyle

As April’s cover girl on InStyle, the 39-year old star knows that her talent isn’t the only thing that helped her career along. Sofia Vergara seems to have grown over night.

From starring on Modern Family, to being a spokesperson for Cover Girl and owning a line for K-Mart (and being in a sexy little Pepsi commercial), the Latin star is very proud of her career and figure!

“I am on these lists for ‘best ass’ or ‘most beautiful’ with women like Mila Kunis, who’s, like, 20 years old,” she said. “I have a son that age!

“Part of my career has always been because of the way I look,” she said. While some may be, this star isn’t upset by that. “I’m not ashamed,” Vergara says. “It has opened doors. But I also know that if I didn’t have something else, I’d be long gone.” The something else the star is referring to is her acting skills, business sense, and her sense of humor, which the world got to see at this year’s Golden Globes. “I never thought I’d make money from being funny.”

However, she is recognizable because of her stunning looks and great fashion .

“I love jewelry—rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, you name it,” she says. “If my stylist didn’t stop me, I’d go out looking like a Christmas tree. I cry every time I look at jewelry because I can’t make up my mind.”

She gave dating advice for men interested in taking her out. “A great date?,” she says. ”Dinner and a movie. Or sports, watched in the venue, not on TV. No canoes. No water. Nothing to mess up the hair.”

April’s issue of InStyle hits stands on Friday. You can read the whole interview and see more of the spread here.
