The similarities between Sofia Vergara and her character Gloria on Modern Family are pretty obvious. Now Vergara wants to add one more similarity to the list, a baby.

The 40-year-old actress opened up to Cosmopolitan in their June issue about her fiancée and their plans to start a family. Her entrepreneur fiancé, Nick Loeb proposed about a year ago but the two are in no rush to walk down the aisle. Instead, Vergara has chosen to freeze her eggs in hopes to eventually have a baby using a surrogate. You go girl!

“My doctor had told me, ‘We have a small window.’ I said, ‘That’s so rude!’ I already have a kid, so I never thought I would need to do that,” she tells the magazine. “But I will have to use a surrogate, because I had thyroid cancer and lots of radiation. I don’t want to wait forever, but not yet, because I’m working like an animal.”

Vergara is currently the highest paid TV actress out there, so I don’t blame her for putting off having a baby. It doesn’t matter if she has the baby now or in a few years after Modern Family is over.

Both Loeb and Vergara were previously married so their wedding is the last thing on their minds.

What do you think of Vergara’s decision?
