Oprah's Farewell Show

Oprah was nothing less than spectacular for her four hour final show, which was hosted in front of 20,000 people at the United Center in Chicago. Various big name celebrities took turns hosting the show for the Queen of talk show television. Guests and appearances on the show included

Beyonce performing on farewell show

Tom Hanks, Will and Jada Smith, Halle Berry, Tyler Perry, Tom Cruise, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Dakota Fanning, Madonna, Michael Jordan, Maria Shriver, and Usher, who hosted the last hour, and also performed.

A big surprise was the first time performance of Beyonce and her new hit single, “Run the World (Girls).” Even on her last days on television, Oprah still manages to bring many firsts to her show. Another surprise for viewers was seeing Maria Shriver show up, with her martial problems with Arnold Schwarzenegger currently being all over the news.

Oprah and Michael Jordan

The show, (as expected) was filled with memories, tears, laughs and smiles, including the musical performances. Oprah has had us all glued to our televisions for 25 years. It is only right for her to end her spectacular run with a great show such as this one. The farewell special will run in two parts on May 23rd and 24th with her final show airing the 25th.
