“True Blood” Season 4 Premieres Sunday

“True Blood” fans have been waiting in anticipation for the fourth season premiere of the scandalous vampire show for more than nine months. Wait no more,”True Blood” will finally make its way back to HBO on Sunday. With a finale full of loose ends, breakups, and betrayals, the promise of some answers in the premiere has generated high expectations and increasing excitement.

As shown in the Season 4 teasers, witches become a central part of the “True Blood” world. Vampires are trying desperately to refurbish their image to the public after Russell kills a news reporter on live TV in Season 3. Leading the group in the massive PR campaign will be Nan Flanagan, who is the spokeswoman for the American Vampire League.

Producer Alan Ball revealed that the new character Marnie Stonebrook, a palm reader that is taken over by the spirit of a powerful witch, will be a huge threat among the vampire community. “She is going to discover a way to have power over them,” Ball said.

Jessica and Hoyt are still together and happy as ever, but I’m more curious about Sookie and Bill. Things ended between them last season, but I doubt they’ll be able to stay away from each other for too long. Although if Eric has his way, Sookie will be all his.

Don’t panic when studly werewolf Alcide isn’t in the premiere on Sunday. The heartthrob won’t appear on screen until the third episode when Sookie seeks him out.

Check out the latest trailer for the new season, which premieres Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
