When Seal and Heidi Klum filed for divorce, everyone was a little bit surprised. I say a little bit because it’s rare that celebrity couples last more than five years in the first place. But the surprise came because Heidi and Seal were known for annually renewing their vows to each other in front of friends and family. So much for showmanship, I suppose.
When they split, they released a joint statement. An excerpt from that statement said:
“We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
At first, they seemed like they were going to handle this with the maturity and mutual respect that Courteney Cox and David Arquette showed during their split. Those two, by the way, are just the best example I have ever seen of a celebrity couple splitting up. They work together and have a child together, too. They really should be a case study for all celebrities. Like a pamphlet that celebrity divorce attorneys hand out to new clients.
Alas, that pamphlet has yet to come out. So when Seal was questioned by a pack of paparazzi about Heidi’s rumored romance with her bodyguard of four years, Seal officially became “that ex” by saying:
“I guess I didn’t expect any better from him, I would have preferred Heidi to have shown a little bit more class and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were…”
“But I guess you now all have the answer that you’ve been looking for for the past seven months…”
So basically, it seems that Seal is implying that Heidi developed feelings for the bodyguard before they even separated. Just remember, you guys have four children involved who will have access to the internet. Anything you say about each other, they will be able to read soon enough. Keep it civil, Seal!Tags: divorce, fornicate with the help, heidi klum, Seal
