Though the much-talked about royal honeymoon may be over for Prince William and his longtime love Kate Middleton, it doesn’t mean their summer vacation plans are going to be halted. The now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be headed stateside next month, and though the itinerary of the trip was initially kept hush-hush, the official plans have just been released.
Starting on July 8, the royal pair will venture to California on official state business. Their first day on the golden coast will begin with a Consular-General Reception on behalf of the United Kingdom Trade and Investment, according to People.com. But don’t fret, this trip isn’t all work and no play.
People.com reports that the Duke, an experienced polo player, will take part in a match at the Santa Barbara Polo Club on July 9. The match itself is set to benefit the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Though many may expect the “Mrs.” to sit back and support her man on the field, it seems that Princess Kate has her own royal duties to tend to. According to an official spokesperson of St. James’s Palace, Kate’s focus will be “on supporting British interest in California through the prism of their own interests.”
But does that interest include mingling with Hollywood’s A-List? While Will and Kate may want to spend their downtime around La-La-Land by shopping on Rodeo Drive and meeting and greeting the hottest stars, their trip wraps up with what’s sure to be an affair to remember.
According to St. James’s, the black tie reception for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is set to showcase “up and coming British talent.”
Hmm, wonder which red-hot Brits (i.e. Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) made the cut?Tags: andrew garfield, Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, Prince Harry, Prince William, Robert Pattinson, rosie huntington-whiteley, The Duke and Duchess of Cambrdige, The Royal Wedding
