In 2008 singer Leona Lewis, who is best known for her single “Bleeding Love,” was voted PETA’s sexist vegetarian. Now, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is honoring 20 of the most famous vegetarians of all times, including Leona, with their very own stamp in an effort to stop animal abuse. Lewis has been a vegetarian since the age of 12 and leads a very strict lifestyle.
She Says, “I am a vegetarian so I don’t have clothes, shoes, or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products. I’m on a mission.”
Other celebrities that will be honored with this campaign are music mogul Russell Simmons, Gandhi,Oscar award winning and my absolute favorite actress Natalie Portman, Ellen DeGeneres, Woody Allen, and Pamela Anderson among others.
Leona Lewis is preparing to release a new Album entitled, Glass Heart. The album was intended to be released in November in the U.K. and December in the U.S. The release date has now been pushed back until March 26, 2012. Yes, people you have to wait a whole extra 3 months to get your hands on this album.
In the meantime, Leona has released a single, “Collide,” to tide her fans over until her new album release date. There are also talks of another song being pushed prior to the release of her new album Glass Heart.
