Paris Hilton took a break from glitz and glam and visited a children’s hospital in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, River Viiperi. The couple spent time with the kids, playing games and making holiday crafts. Paris Hilton tweeted about the sentimental occasion, saying that she was having ‘ a lovely time’.

This isn’t the first time Paris has shown special sympathy for children suffering with illnesses. In 2008 Paris donated an undisclosed amount of money, enough to have a hospital room named after her. Paris and Viiperi took photos with the kids- in one photo, Paris is holding hands with a young boy with prosthetic legs, while Santa Claus holds the boy’s other hand. In another, Paris sits down at a table talking to the children while her boyfriend stands to the side, smiling.

The DailyMail also points out that the young heiress doesn’t seem to be wearing makeup, which is shocking. It’s refreshing to see Paris Hilton dress like a normal person, and she actually looks rather the same without makeup. It also warms my heart to see young Hollywood really reaching out to these children, especially in light of the Sandy Hook tragedy that happened this past Friday. I’m sure seeing Paris really put a smile on the childrens’ faces!
