Paris who? After a few years out of the limelight, Hollywood’s (ex)favorite party girl and socialite, Paris Hilton, is determined to make a come back. Her first attempt at regaining the spotlight was a reality show on Oxygen, “The World According to Paris.” Unfortunately for Miss Hilton, the show was a complete flop and was cancelled due to low ratings. So, her next attempt? A new album of course.
While attending the 2012 MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday in L.A., Paris told MTV News “I’ve been in the studio the past year finishing up my new album, my new single is going to be out in the next few weeks. I’ve just been traveling the world going to music festivals, researching all the music.” To jog your memories, Paris’s last album, Paris, was released in 2006 and only sold a mere 197,000 copies. But, she explains that her new album is “Completely different from [her] last album. It’s electropop music, so it’s very dance oriented, very fun”.
I can already predict that Paris’s new album will achieve greater success because it is being executive produced by rumored boyfriend DJ Afrojack. Her electropop album will also feature the talents of big name stars such as Snoop Dogg, Flo-Rida, David Guetta, LMFAO, and a “few other surprise guests.” Hopefully, she can get by with a little help from her friends.
When asked about his contribution to Paris’s new album, DJ Afrojack a.k.a Nick van de Wall, states “[Paris] likes pop as well as what’s on the radio — but she also loves dance music. She’s been going out to raves for 15 years — ever since she was a little kid – and she loves dance music so I gave her some dance tracks.”
While there is still no word on when the album will be released, Paris’s single will be out later this month. She is all set to debut her new musical stylings at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil on June 23rd. Paris says “I have my first show in three weeks in Brazil for over 30,000 people, closing for Jennifer Lopez, I’m so nervous and excited. I can’t wait!”
Here’s a demo of a song off the new album called “Louder” produced by David Guetta. Note, the voices on the track belong to Akon and singer Natalia Kills, but will be replaced by the vocals of Paris and Flo-Rida, so feel free to use your imaginations. It’s surprisingly not that bad, what do you guys think?
