Vitamin String Quartet

Truth be told, no matter how great a cover sounds, it’s hard to value something so unoriginal. Taking someone else’s song and changing the sound of a few words or notes seems too easy, and I have never been able to appreciate covers–until I heard the Vitamin String Quartet.  Comprised of a rotating collective top-flight Los Angeles musicians, the Vitamin String Quartet specializes in covers ranging from the late Michael Jackson to Dashboard Confessional, and boy have they stolen my heart. Never had I fathomed that I would enjoy listening to classical music on my free time, but now I find my ears craving their peaceful yet powerful renditions of my once favorite songs.

The Vitamin String Quartet doesn’t re-sing the song, they arrange the notes in their own way to create another perspective of the same song. The use of violins, violas, and cellos can captivate the essence of any given song and amplify it to an entirely new degree.  Their covers give each song a hauntingly beautiful sound. The Vitamin String Quartet revolutionizes the popular music of today by transforming them into classical contexts while also bringing classic hits back by reinventing the melodies. Their concept alone is reason enough to give them a listen. So click the video and give your ears a treat. We promise there are no strings attached!
