I’m always on the hunt for new music and new artists to share with my fellow pop culture fans. YouTube is typically the place to go when wanting to find new music to listen to. On YouTube, you can find a wide variety of artists posting their very own unique covers and original music. Among these artists is Max Schneider.

I’ve been listening to Max for almost a year now. One summer afternoon I was eating dinner and watching TV, looking for something to entertain me for a few minutes. Coincidentally, a new movie was premiering on Nickelodeon. This movie was Rags and it’s star? You guessed it: Max Schneider.

Max Schneider is a 20-year-old musician, actor, dancer and model. He has quite the resume already. He’s appeared on Nickelodeon in not only Rags, but also on his television series How to Rock. He has also toured with fellow Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice. Plus, he’s even appeared in a Dolce & Gabbana advertisement alongside Madonna.

On top of all that, Schneider is constantly posting music on his YouTube channel. Sometimes he post covers, sometimes he posts original songs and sometimes he does collaborations and medleys with other artists. Yet the one thing all of his videos have in common? They’re all amazing.

Last week, Schneider uploaded a cover song of Justin Bieber’s popular hit, “As Long As You Love Me.” I absolutely adore his version. It’s very raw and instead of focusing on a lot of the background instruments (which are equally as amazing and unique), it puts a strong emphasis on his vocals. I think they did a really nice job of knowing when to make the instrumentals more prominent and when to make his voice the main focus. It’s a very nice balance between the two.

Schneider slows the song down a bit and really makes it his own. In fact, it doesn’t even sound like a Justin Bieber song anymore. Instead it sounds like a Max Schneider song. He has a tendency of doing this and I have to say, I love it!

Max Schneider is currently working on his second EP, which is set to release in April 2013. I can’t wait to hear what he comes out with.

What do you think of this musician? Are there any other musicians you’re currently listening to on repeat? Let us know!
