A Tribe Called Quest Made NPR's List

Recently the National Public Radio, better known as NPR, has compiled a list of songs from pioneering artists of the 20th century till now.

Marc Bolan of T.Rex

The list was sorted out by the Innovation Trail, a conglomerate of five New York public broadcasting stations, who describes itself as “aimed at providing in-depth reporting on the new, emerging economies that will help shape the future of Upstate New York.”

Although I must warn listeners: If you don’t have an ear for alternative music, you may find this playlist easy to turn off.

The playlist is composed of music from 50′s jazz clubs and auto-tune songs played on the radio today. Some of the artists who songs made the list include AC/DC, Bjork, A Tribe Called Quest, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Missy Elliot, and T.Rex.

The innovators wanted to have a playlist that reaches a wide demographic audience and offered trailblazers in rock, pop, folk, jazz, world beat, and hip-hop.
