Fashion Designer Nolan Miller on Dynasty Television Show

The phenomenal Nolan Miller, a fabulous American fashion designer and television stylist passed away in his sleep in Woodland Hills, California. He was 79 years old at his passing, and he has been coping with lung cancer for the last few years, which ultimately led to his spontaneous death. His longtime friend, Joan Collins told The Hollywood Reporter that, “Miller didn’t want a funeral; He wanted to be cremated and he wants Mark, Rene and me to go to Venice, scatter his ashes in the canals and then go to Harry’s Bar and have Bellinis.”

Three-time Emmy Award Winner Nolan Miller

Nolan Miller will always be remembered for his amazing fashion designs which he created for the TV show Dynasty, and also for his own marvelous fashion line that he called “The Dynasty Collection”. Miller created looks for other television sitcoms such as The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Additionally, Miller launched a jewelry line for an online and television shopping network called QVC, which he retired from in July of 2011.

During Miller’s prime-time fashion career, he was nominated six times for an Emmy Award and finally received awards in 1984, 1985, and 1987. Miller created the fashion trend of wearing big shouldered suits and glittery costume gowns. It is safe to say that Nolan totally rocked the 80s with his fashion magic and stylish designs! He will always be remembered!
