Nicole Richies Picks for "What's In Her Bag?"

Since having long ditched her crazy tabloid days (thank god for that!), it’s become quite the task to keep up with pop culture icon Nicole Richie. The mother of two has been busying herself with her two fashion lines, Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960, and being a fashion mentor on NBC’s Fashion Star alongside Jessica Simpson. Now, Richie is expanding her fashion authority by pioneering Polyvore’s guest editor program.

If you’re unfamiliar with Polyvore, its an interactive fashion website that allows users to create and share  looks from the website’s database of products.

The month long project, which started on July 7th, will feature Richie’s favorite picks based on a new theme each week.  Last week’s theme was “What’s In Her Bag?” Among the items that Mrs. Madden picked were her iPhone, some sunglasses, and bobby pins. Her bag of choice was a the ultra chic Balenciaga Striped ‘City’. Themes for the following  weeks include: her morning routine, her favorite beauty products, and a set of style icon picks.

The guest editor program will continue after Richie is done with July. Each month Polyvore will ask influential people in  fashion to pick their favorite products and give advice all month long. next month’s guest editor is fashion director at Net-a-Porter, Holli Rogers.

Keep your eyes peeled each week for new picks by the celebrity guest editor on Polyvore.com!
