For Milan’s Fashion Week, Moschino designer Rossella Jardini launched the brand’s Spring collection, showing embellished skirts, beaded matador-inspired jackets, fringed tops, and toreador hats. Dramatic pieces were tempered with romantic ruffled dresses and bias-cut lace gowns made to flatter the figure.
The collection hit all of the notes of the brand’s bold yet twist of fun style. The embellished jackets have a fun and somewhat youthful look to them. With ribbons and hearts you can’t go wrong!
The jackets featured bells that jingled, reminiscent of Christmastime, but in Italy. There was a costume-like effect, which is surprising for Moschino since the brand is known for its surrealistic-to-slant style.
Floral print peasant skirts, embroidered shorts, and printed smock tops provided chic options for daywear. The key colors of the collection were yellow, black, white, and tan. Some accessories included gold ankle-wrap sandals, oversize earrings, double-cuff bracelets, cat-eye sunglasses, bright beaded clutches and small bags.
There were a few themes on the runway such as bullfighting beauties, charming cowgirls, as well as Native American designs.
To close the show, a series of short, full-skirted white dresses cut in abstract, puffy cloud patterns dominated the runway, demonstrating that Ms. Jardini doesn’t need to do much to get her point across.
If your style is high-drama and statement-worthy, then this collection is all yours. It makes you want to go to the Far West and Mexico. You definitely will be turning heads with these fierce pieces.
