Fendi for Inglesina

When we think of babies, we think cute, adorable, and can’t get enough of. However, this year, when we think of babies, we also think fashion. Babies are living life in the fast lane thanks to an onslaught of miniature collections released this month. And it’s about to get a whole lot better: after first partnering with Simonetta for a kids’ fashion line, Fendi has now partnered with Italian stroller company Inglesina.

Yes you’ve heard it right: Rome-based, big fashion house Fendi is teaming up with Italian manufacturer Inglesina for a collection of baby accessories. WWD reports that items including a stroller, pram and baby carrier have been designed for the toddler jet set, keeping with the fashion house’s classic style.

Fendi is really diving into the children’s fashion world full force! In 2008, Fendi teamed up with Japanese brand Aprica on infant items such as strollers and jersey-made animal puppets. And now the news of their new collection follows an increasing trend for designer baby pieces. And what better time to expand as we see so many celebrities’ babies in high fashion clothing? A stroller can just top it off!

The collection will feature the brand’s iconic “F” logo. And instead of the pink and blue, Fendi has added a little more flair to it with a color palette comprising cream, mahogany and blue. The pieces will be available at selected outlets worldwide in 2012.

In addition, just last week it was announced that Oscar de la Renta is about to design pieces for (highly discerning) stylish munchkins. And let’s not forget the Stella McCartney for Gap Kids collection. Like I have said before, there’s no such thing as ” too young for fashion.” So mommies out there, keep your little ones styling and be sure to keep a look out for these new accessories.
