Missy Elliott and Timbaland

The icon match Timbaland and Missy Elliott are set to come back in a big way this June. The Virginia natives have joined forces once again. It is only logical to think they are preparing to change music as we know it, for a second time.

Timbaland told MTV News ”Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June,”

Although, the two are not working on an album that will feature the them together, they are still collaborating on each others album. They have also made a conscious decision to release their albums in the same month. I wonder why that is.

“I just don’t want to move too ahead of her and she don’t want to move too ahead of me,” Timbaland said. “So we’re both doing it at the same time.”

Timbaland released Shock Value II three years ago and it’s been seven years since we’ve heard an album from Missy Elliott. While we haven’t seen their faces much, both artists have been putting in a major amount of work behind the scenes. “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” star, Missy Elliot, has been a songwriter and producer for artists like Keyshia Cole, Monica, and Jazmine Sullivan. Missy has recently been featured on J. Cole’s single, “Nobody’s Perfect” and is expected to appear in the video to accompany the song. I can’t wait to see the video. I absolutely love the song!

Both Missy Elliot and Timbaland emerged in the early 90′s and forever changed the world of hip hop. I can’t even imagine what they are going to do next. Lucky us, we won’t have to wait much longer. I can’t wait to get my hands on this album.
