The dashing, vibrant woman on the cover of January 2012 Vogue is none other then Meryl Streep. Most of the cover girls of the fashion magazine are new Hollywood starlets or the hottest runway models, but the 62-year-old is changing that.
Whether you know her as the energetic mother in Mama Mia or the harsh editor in The Devil Wears Prada, there is no stopping Streep from staying in the limelight. In fact, she told Vogue that she thought her career would have been over 20 some years ago after being offered so many roles as a witch. But that was not the case, and she is still landing roles like crazy even today.
In her newest movie, The Iron Lady, she plays former British prime minister, Margaret Thatcher. It shows Thatcher serving as Britain’s first women prime minister, and shows her in later years when she suffers from dementia. The movie comes out on Friday, Dec. 16.
Be sure to get more scoop on Streep in Vogue which comes out Dec. 20.Tags: Meyrl Streep, The Devil Wears Prada, The Iron Lady, vogue
