Lina Sanz

Despite surfacing at least a year ago, a two-minute video clip of a relatively unknown girl is suddenly causing seismic waves on the interweb. Though the timing of the video’s popularity may be something of a mystery, the cause for the buzz itself certainly isn’t: Lina Sanz looks a lot like Angelina Jolie.

Lina Sanz

This is not a clone.

And not in the blatantly injected, purposely scalpeled way that Tiffany Claus and Octomom strive to – Sanz resembles Jolie in a purer sense. In fact, given that the actress’s raw beauty has undergone the Hollywood treatment, we’re brazen enough to posit that Sanz looks more like Jolie, the refined actress than Jolie, the unknown ever did.

But Sanz avoids looking haggardly or hungry. Her two minutes of accented conversation (she’s from Spain) evoke a younger, fresher Jolie than we’ve seen in years.

“I’ve been studying acting for three years now,” she tells the somewhat creepy interviewer.

That may be why she appears so focused on appearing, well… focused throughout the short clip. As another video (below) featuring Sanz with an unknown Johnny Depp impersonator demonstrates, she’s got a ways to go before she can expect to milk the resemblance for anything other than beauty shots. If there’s one thing that Angelina can’t be charged with, it’s being just another pretty face.
