Christopher Straub was a viewer favorite on season six of Lifetime's "Project Runway."

National women’s retailer Maurices has announced its plan to collaborate on a celebrity line with Project Runway designer Christopher Straub this month.

After skyrocketing into the top five finalists during season six of Project Runway, the Minnesota native was set on designing an cost efficient and stylish line for young women. Straub recently tweeted:

Brad Hartmann, the vice president of marketing for Maurices said in a recent press release,

“We started working with Christopher earlier this year through our Main Street Model Search. The contest was all about finding girls from hometowns across America who, like Christopher, have a big-time dream. In their case, it’s of being a model. Christopher understands what they’re feeling and experiencing because he’s been in those same uncharted waters.”

The exclusive line, which includes clothing, accessories and a fragrance, is set to launch on the Maurices site on Nov. 22 and will hit retail stores shortly after on Nov. 25 (which is, coincidentally, Black Friday).  Straub made sure to offer affordable pieces for his clientele, with prices ranging from $12 to $89.

Christopher Straub for Maurices is projected to sell well in stores, since it caters to a wide variety of shapes, sizes and tastes.  Straub is already in the preliminary planning stages for his next line — consisting entire of dresses — for the retailer that is set to hit stores in Spring 2012.
