It looks like the movie “Oz The Great and Powerful” won’t be the only thing people should look forward to for the month of March. Mariah Carey decided to bless the soundtrack with a song that almost sounds nothing like her.

“Almost Home” is the first single off this soundtrack and the title is completely fitting if anyone remembers the story of Oz. This song is actually a great song and it doesn’t include Carey singing ridiculously high notes nor does it contain so much pop you’ll get sick of it. It actually is a mellowed out song that shows Carey in a different light.

No one has ever doubted her singing ability; Mariah Carey is one of the best singers in the industry. But I believe she had to switch her style or flow because everything was beginning to sound the same and people were expecting that.

How do you like the song? Is this new style a good look for Mariah Carey?
