It seems like Hollywood has gone crazy this year for unique and creative nail art. From E!’s “Mani Cam” at the Golden Globes, that captured Zooey Deschanel’s film reel manicure among others, to new stick-on custom nail polish by Essie and other brands that provide different special effects like metallic, snakeskin or lace pattern. It seems like the possibilities with your nail art are endless these days. So why not have a magazine that is completely dedicated to your nails?

That was the group over at Nail Pro decided to do. Their magazine Nail It! will be available February 19 and be available at grocery stores, CVS, Barnes & Noble, Target, online and wherever magazines are sold. Its one of the first magazines of its kind and it promises to offer advice on the top salons, new nail polish trends and it features celebrity nail art. I think it’s an interesting idea. I could certainly use inspiration for my nails sometimes.

I think it would be great resource for girls to collaborate and rate the best manicure/pedicure experiences from around the nation. Girls would have all of the information to choose their salon wisely and not have to try-and-fail with different places. Woman could also rate salons not only based on their experience, but also the cleanliness of the salons.

I am wondering how this magazine will survive when magazine giants like Newsweek are resorting to a solely online presence. My cautions could be wrong off-placed, though. According to The Beauty Company, between 2008 and 2011, sales for nail polish have risen 43%. I think those numbers are impressive in the midst of the economic woes we have been experiencing in our country.

Will a magazine catering to just nail-conscious women be successful? What do you think?
