Music mogul, Jay-Z signs new artist to his record label. Last Thursday, Roc Nation announced Jay-Z will now manage electro-pop rapper M.I.A.

Roc Nation tweeted, “This nation just keeps on growing…,” welcoming M.I.A to the Roc Nation family.

Formally known as Maya  Arulpragasam, M.I.A is ready to begin working on new projects, including a remix of her single, “Bad Girls,” which is set to feature Missy Elliott, Azealia Banks and Rye Rye.

M.I.A is now in the company of Rihanna, Santigold, Shakira, and Wale along with songwriters, producers, and DJ’s.

At the moment, M.I.A is still signed to Interscope records, but Roc Nation will take care of the artists management needs.

Fellow artist Rihanna sent M.I.A a warm welcoming tweeting, “welcome home MIA.”

Under the talented hands of Jay-Z and the Roc Nation family, M.I.A has a bright future to look forward to, and we can’t wait to see what the Paper Planes princess has to deliver.
