The ‘N Sync crooner Lance Bass just popped the question to his boyfriend of two years, Michael Turchin. This could possibly be the cutest engagement since Neil Patrick Harris and David Burka’s nuptials in 2004.

While I didn’t happen to watch Miley Cyrus’ skanky booty-shaking or Robin Thicke’s equally disturbing participation on the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, it seems like the most exciting moment took place not too long after the show came to its end.

Whisking his beau to New Orleans, after reuniting with fellow ‘N Sync members for the event’s highly-anticipated performance, Bass popped the big question to his handsome boyfriend, according to Us Weekly.

Turchin, who is an aspiring model and actor, touched lightly on the news, tweeting, “Happiest guy in the world,” just days later. The couple was pictured with all smiles as Bass’ fiance sports a stunning wedding band crafted with black diamonds.

Since his coming out in 2006, Bass has been linked to some of the world’s hottest men in the world including: Amazing Race victor Reichen Lehmkuhl, model Pedro Andrade and hair-deresser Ben Thigpen (who’s the most delectable of them all). Needless to say, Bass has some great taste in men so it’s not wonder that his latest pick is a keeper!

More importantly, though, this adds another spectacular moment to pop culture and it’s gratifying to see Hollywood become more and more receptive to all variations of love, regardless of gender or orientation. Remember, you guys: Love is love!

Congrats to the newlyweds to be!
