Lady Gaga's Japanese relief bracelet

Lady Gaga is using her superstar influence for a good cause!

To help aid the victims of the shocking earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami in Japan, she has designed a bracelet with proceeds going to disaster relief efforts.

Lady Gaga announced on her Twitter, to her over 8 million followers, that she had designed a red-and-white wristband bracelet that reads “We pray for Japan” in both English and Japanese. It also has a picture of her signature symbol, the Little Monsters claw.

The singer has previously shown her love for her Japanese fans with temporary tattoos on her arms in Katakana script.

She tweeted:

“I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters.”

The star tweeted again stating that in 48 hours, a quarter of a million dollars has been raised by her fans for Japan Relief through the purchasing of the bracelet. She also said, “It’s important we help.”

The bracelet is $5 and buyers are encouraged to give even more if they can. It can be purchased at Lady Gaga’s official store, here.

In addition to Gaga’s efforts, you can aid in disaster relief by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
