When I think of Disney, the first things that pop into my head are usually images of singing princesses and cuddly animals, not a singing diva who wears stuffed animals.

Lady Gaga has teamed up with Elton John on a new song that will appear on the soundtrack for the Disney animated film Gnomeo and Juliet, RollingStone.com reports. The song is called “Hello, Hello,” and it will play when the two lead characters meet for the first time, according to EW.com.

If you love the Travelocity commercials like I do, you’ll love this movie. As you may have guessed, Gnomeo and Juliet is a re-telling of William Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet with garden gnomes. Gnomeo, voiced by James McAvoy, and Juliet, voiced by Emily Blunt, attempt to keep their love for one another alive as they get involved in a feud between dueling neighbors. The trailer is funny and adorable. Directed by Kelly Asbury, who also directed Shrek 2, Gnomeo and Juliet looks like the Toy Story for lawn ornaments.

“Hello, Hello” will be Gaga’s first song made for film, but she’s in good company. John has written songs for several movies, including the Oscar-winning “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. John is also credited as the composer for Gnomeo and Juliet.

Gnomeo and Juliet isn’t the first time Gaga and John have collaborated. The pair performed “Poker Face,” “Speechless” and “Your Song” at the opening of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. John has also expressed interest in working with Gaga on her upcoming album Born This Way.

What do you think of the collaboration? Will you see Gnomeo and Juliet when it hits theaters this February?
