Scott Roman Seguro Mescudi, better known as rapper/singer Kid Cudi, recently announced the name of his new record label: “Wicked Awesome Records.”
In February, Cudi announced his split with former managers Patrick “Plain Pat” Reynolds and Emile Haynie over Twitter. He also announced plans to launch a new record label.
“Dream on is over,” Cudi tweeted, “new label announcement soon.”
He seemed relieved about the decision and had high hopes for starting over. “Makin changes, new number, new email, starting fresh. lettin go of all things holding me back,” he wrote.
Almost two months later, Cudi announced not only the name of the new label, but also announced a new band name while performing in New York City on Thursday.
He stated that he’s been working hard with a new producer, Dot Da Genius, on his latest project. According to Billboard, they have been working on the project previously known as “Wizard” for nine months.Tags: band name, dot da genius, emile haynie, Kid Cudi, new york city, patrick reynolds, plain pat, record label, Twitter, wicked awesome records, wizard
