Who’s going to be on the next month’s Vogue cover? That’s a question that everyone asks. While it is always a bit predictable, pop singers and musicians being featured is a rarity.  Vogue surprised us in January by putting Gwen Stefani on its cover and sources tell us that pop icon and fashionista, Katy Perry has her first US Vogue cover in the works.

It might be her first cover for the fashion bible, she is not a stranger to it. Perry has starred in an article in Vogue around her Exclusive Inauguration Photo Diary in January, and has also covered Teen Vogue.

Apart from being one of the top musicians, there is no doubt that she is a true fashionista. Perry has long been a fashion influence by taking statement looks to the next level in her quirky and outrageous ensembles, bold hair colors, fun printed bustier tops and cartoon-ish looks.

Very recently we have seen her pulling off some more sophisticated styles on the red carpet (especially her mint Gucci gown at the Grammys this year). As a result, Anna Wintour finally decided that Perry is ready for her first ever Vogue cover and there is no doubt about that.

But, now what leaves me curious is what vogue-fied Perry would look like! Will it be one of the over the top quirky ensembles that we usually see her in or a conservative and sophisticated version of Perry?

All I can say is that whatever elaborate piece of cover worthy couture she’s put in, her beauty will definitely work it. So do you think, is  Katy Perry “Vogue” enough to do a cover?
