Katy Perry has been globe-trotting to promote her new perfume. Over the weekend, Katy Perry was in Mexico City to launch the new fragrance, called Purr. While there, Katy made multiple wardrobe changes in one day, and some were shocking (even for Perry). She was at three different events in three different outrageous purple dresses.
First up, she attended the press conference for Purr in a Nikolaki one-shouldered sequin dress in a pretty lilac color. The cocktail dress had beautiful draping at the bodice, and she completed the look with nude heels. Next, she arrived at the Perisur Mall to greet more than ten thousand fans and sign autographs. For this appearance, Katy wore another sparkly dress, this time complete with sheer paneling at her shoulder and stomach.
Last, but certainly not least, Katy walked the purple carpet at the launch party wearing Georges Hobeika Couture. The racy dress had a sheer piece that held the plunging neckline together. Katy isn’t exactly known for keeping herself covered up (right, Elmo) but this dress might take the cake.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to finally introduce me in a bottle. There is a wonderful world of fragrances out there, but like with my music, I believe there is room for me and my own unique twist on it. Purr is a natural extension of who I am as a woman – it’s a gorgeous blend of all my favorite scents that embodies my style, my tastes and my love for all things incredibly cute. It is an absolutely purrfect perfume that I hope leaves you meowing with delight!”
